- Energy & utility gateways: the RS485-heavy COM mix talks to meters, RTUs and battery monitors, while the 2.5G port carries the upstream link.
- Telecom edge nodes: 4G/5G on the M.2 B-Key with SIM keeps remote sites connected, and the watchdog pulls unattended units back from hangs.
