Boards that ride the vehicle, not the desk

Vehicle electronics live on a rail, not a wall socket: 12V or 24V that dips when the engine cranks, heat that climbs behind the dash, and no one to press the restart button. The boards below take that power directly — whole-vehicle tolerance class per the datasheet — and keep talking over CAN and cellular.

On The Vehicle

Four things on-board electronics must survive

  • Vehicle-tolerant power: the AD600Z3AW and TL500Z3AW accept DC 9–36V — 12V and 24V buses connect directly, with a through-wall Phoenix terminal option on the TL500Z3AW.
  • Data buses: the AD600Z3AW carries CAN alongside six COM; the TL500Z3AW splits six COM into a mixed RS485/RS232 farm — sensors, meters and the driver HMI share one board.
  • Keep talking on the move: the AD600Z3AW adds a B-Key slot with SIM for 4G/5G failover — position, diagnostics and media continue over cellular.
  • Wide temperature: all three boards run −20 to +60°C operating — dashboards, engine bays and outdoor transit enclosures are within the stated range.

Questions

Transportation, answered

Yes — the TL500Z3AW and AD600Z3AW accept DC 9–36V, and the TL500Z3AW can be ordered with a through-wall Phoenix terminal instead of a DC jack for hard-wired 12V or 24V rails.

The AD600Z3AW adds a B-Key slot with SIM for 4G/5G failover, while the TL500Z3AW pairs dual LAN with an AMT management port for out-of-band service on parked or roving units.

None — no E-mark style approvals are claimed here. The boards are selected for objective fit stated on the datasheets: 9–36V input, −20/+60°C operation, CAN and cellular interfaces.
