Why AD743AW
Four reasons to wire it up
PoE LAN
Three 2.5G ports, two powered
Three Intel i226-V controllers; LAN2 and LAN3 deliver 15 W PoE each — cameras, sensors and controllers draw power down the same cable they talk on.
Serial
Six COM, RS485 in BIOS
COM1/2 switch between RS232 and RS485/RS422 in BIOS; COM3–6 stay RS232. Enough ports to keep meters, drives and controllers on a single board.
Platform
Alder Lake-N, fanless
Onboard 12th-gen SKUs from x7425E down to N50 — the performance you configure at order time, the cooling you don’t.
Power
DC 9–36V, no converter
Accepts 12 V, 24 V or 36 V site and vehicle rails directly; TPM 2.0 chip optional for secured deployments.

Where It Fits
Smart street lighting and service robots
The AD743AW earns its slot where a board must reach out over Ethernet and serial at the same time. Typical deployments:
- Street lighting & city sensing: PoE on LAN2/3 powers cameras and air sensors; RS485 reaches light controllers; 4G/5G B-Key uplinks sites without fiber.
- Service and rescue robots: CAN plus I2C headers and six COM keep motor and sensor stacks on one board; x7425E-class efficiency keeps the enclosure fanless.
- Medical and security edge: HDMI 2.1 plus DP 1.4 drive patient-side and surveillance displays; TPM 2.0 chip optional for encrypted boots.
