PoE
One cable, data and power
Optional PoE on the i226-V port lets the AD742A feed a camera or sensor over the same Ethernet run — one power supply fewer in the cabinet.
Memory
LPDDR5, soldered down
Up to 16GB without a socket. No DIMM contacts to fret under vibration, and the memory bus is laid out to keep signal integrity at 100×72 mm.
Serial
2× COM, three modes
Both COM ports are selectable RS232 / RS422 / RS485, so the same board talks to a PLC on one port and a reader on the other.
Platform
Alder Lake-N to N150
Choose N100, N305 or Twin Lake-N150 with the fan fitted or optional — EFI BIOS and Windows 10/11 plus Linux keep the software stack predictable.

Where It Fits
Embedded AI and IoT terminals
The AD742A is specified for products where the casing decides the size and the board has to deliver on power, cooling and a modest I/O count. Typical deployments:
- Emerging AI / IoT nodes: vision-assisted tools and sensor-fusion gateways running inference-adjacent workloads on N150 with the fan option tuned to the airflow your chassis allows.
- Industrial control: two multi-mode COM ports for PLC and instrument links, 8-bit GPIO for status lamps and buttons, and active cooling that keeps CPU load predictable in a warm cabinet.
- Medical equipment: a 60W DC footprint that fits bedside and treatment-room devices, with soldered memory that survives transport and handling without DIMM reseating.
